Father Daughter Day 2013
"The Best Kind of Father Raises a DG Daughter"

Anchordads traveled to Harrisonburg today for our father daughter day planned by our VP Programming, Rachel Berry. They went to a place called "Back Home on The Farm" to go to a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and even pig races... yes  pig races! It is awesome that all of these dads were willing to drive from home just to spend the day with their daughters! Everyone had a blast and it was a great way for fathers to meet some of the women that their daughters are forever linked to, as well as, their fathers. Here are some pictures from the adventures today:

We can't wait for the next one! Hope you are getting all of your fall favorites in! Before we know it, it will be Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and then the start of a new year!

It's that time of the year again... Big/Little Reveal  !!

After a weeks worth  of basket giving, tricky clues, and sitting in piles of glitter in Delta Gamma basement, the day that a new member looks most forward to, besides initiation, is finally here...BIG/LITTLE REVEAL!!! This year we revealed on the quad again, but with bigs jumping out of cardboard boxes that they had decorated. It was truly a sight to see, especially because the sky decided to rain on us a little. Even through the rain, I have to say that it was one of the better reveals that I have been to in the past two years, and wish I was popping out of a box instead of being behind the camera. But that's what GBigs are for right?? To feel old, take pictures, and make sure everything runs smoothly to ensure the perfect night for our beloved new members. After reveal everyone went their own way, most likely to O'neils, formerly Hams, to get their delicious cookie skillets... and can't forget the bacon cheese fries! Hope y'all are enjoying that it is finally fall weather as much as I am! #LITB

Sisters of the Week!

Congrats to our sister Rebecca Tallent for being chosen as PR girl of the Week!

Another congratulations to our sister Katie Lentz for being chosen as the Sister of the Week! "I'd like to nominate Katie Lentz for sister of the week. Ever since her Little has been in the hospital, Katie has been there almost every day. She even spent the night there on Sunday so she wouldn't be alone. She's been bringing other sisters with her to make sure she doesn't feel lonely and has been sending her words of encouragement throughout the day to make her feel less afraid. I think this an amazing act of sisterhood and caring and this is why I want her to be sister of the week." Thanks for showing what sisterhood is all about Katie!

Sisters of the Week!

Congrats to Mariah Thomas for being named as PR Girl of the Week! She is pictured here rocking her letters with fellow sister Julie DeVaughn.

Chelsea Edwards has been named Sister of the Week for January 20-26! "She is constantly positive no matter what difficulties and situations she is going through and this positivity is contagious! She is the best cheerleader and listener and always knows the right thing to say. Chelsea is a hardworking student, great friend, and a fantastic sister." Thanks for always being there and supporting your sisters Chelsea!

Sister of the Week January 13-20

Our Sister-of-the-Week is Erica Scardelletti! She is our Chapter's Director of COB and is hard at work recruiting for Epsilon Nu. She has been going on many COB dates with PNMs and has rearranged her schedule to accommodate them. She even had lunch one day twice to fit them in! We are so grateful for her and her hard work. Keep Doing Good Erica!

Welcome to our new and improved blog! You'll notice that our layout has changed a little. We have a lot of new ideas for posts that will be coming soon! Look forward to Senior Spotlights,  Where are they now?: Alumnae Stories, and Sister-of-the-Week posts. We're so excited to share these things with all of our followers!
